About this course
The course examines how to organise social media activity through a workable strategy, time-saving scheduling and mobile applications. Participants will explore automatic posting on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, along with tools such as Later, Bitly, Phonto and Vont. Teaching combines presentations, online examples and practical and theoretical work. Topics also include editing video, improving photographs and video content, tracking website clicks with shortlinks, and creating boosted posts and targeted advertisements.

This course is intended for improvers with a firm understanding of LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter. It is aimed at learners who are already confident logging in, posting live messages and checking notifications, including those who have completed an introductory social media course.
Before you go
- Learners should have access to their existing social media accounts and bring the relevant login details.
- Those without existing accounts will need a valid email address and its password to create one.
- A smartphone may be used to download and practise with the applications covered.
- Course handouts will be provided, with notes available through Google Classroom.
