About this course
The course explores the history, origins and repertoire of soul, gospel, Motown and rhythm and blues. Sessions develop vocal technique through warm-ups, breathing, posture, tone, range and vocal expression, then apply these skills to selected songs. Most singing takes place as an ensemble, with opportunities to sing solo within group pieces and occasionally individually. Learners typically study three to six songs, receive tutor feedback and take part in an informal class sharing at the end.

- Develop vocal range, tone, dynamics and expressive control.
