About this course

The course explores voice production, breathing, rhythm and interpretation through a range of soul, pop and rock songs. Learners work on both solo and ensemble singing, including group harmony, while developing aural skills and musicianship. Class activities introduce different vocal techniques and approaches, with experimentation used to explore improvisation. Learners also receive songs and exercises to practise between sessions.
