About this course
The course examines features of spoken Spanish, including vowel sounds, single and double consonants, rhythms, intonation, elisions and diphthongs. Learners apply these features in words, sentences and conversation while developing their understanding of Spanish phonetics. Teaching centres on spoken interaction, with pair work, group activities, role plays and games supported by presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. Homework is recommended to consolidate work covered in class.
