About this course
Conducted in Spanish, the course examines how to prepare for and undertake a safe Camino walk. Topics include comparing routes and stages, planning daily distances and routines, training, pacing, flexibility, health and safety, equipment selection and packing. It also considers local culture, traditions and the language used along the routes. Teaching centres on spoken communication, with pair and group work, role plays, games, presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. The course draws on the teacher’s and students’ experiences and expectations of the Camino.
