About this course
Conducted in Spanish, this workshop examines Samaín traditions in northwestern Spain, including their Celtic origins, Christianisation, symbolism and links with fire, ancestors, seasonal food and harvest celebrations. Participants also explore legends and three Spanish festivals that continue these traditions. Teaching centres on spoken interaction, with group conversations, discussions, shared experiences and a quiz. Presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources support the cultural and language work.
