About this course
The course extends Spanish knowledge through more complex grammar, including superlatives, the subjunctive for expressing opinions, and the future perfect and conditional for expressing certainty. Learners work across reading, writing, speaking and listening, with activities involving spoken dialogues, newspaper articles, vocabulary retention and expressing views on environmental issues. Teaching includes practice in speaking more independently and in groups, alongside guidance for improving listening comprehension. The course also introduces cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking countries and runs at a slower pace than standard courses.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for learners who have completed Spanish 3 lower or studied Spanish for around four years recently. The upper-intermediate label indicates work beyond foundational Spanish, while the gentler pace allows more time for development. Participation includes speaking and listening practice, group communication and recommended homework.
