About this course
The course explores current affairs through Spanish media, with discussions and debates on cultural, social and political topics. Learners also use role-play and examine modern literary texts, newspaper articles and other reading material. Teaching combines spoken interaction with pair and group activities, supported by presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. Work on grammatical structures, idioms and contemporary vocabulary is integrated with listening, reading and oral comprehension practice.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for advanced Spanish learners, with the C1+ label indicating a level beyond fundamental and intermediate study. Learners should have around four to five years of Spanish or equivalent knowledge, a good grasp of grammar and reasonable fluency. Participation includes spoken interaction, pair and group work, debates and role-play. Homework is highly recommended.
