About this course

The course develops Spanish for everyday situations, including shopping, ordering in a bar, discussing food, asking for information and describing places. Learners also practise telling the time, expressing likes and dislikes, talking about frequency and discussing what they can do in their town. Teaching includes spoken-language listening practice, group speaking guidance, vocabulary-retention activities and short reading texts about Spanish-speaking cities and countries. Cultural material includes Spanish bars, Costa Rica, Sevilla and Bogotá.
