At A1 Spanish, learners are beginning to use familiar words and simple sentences in predictable everyday situations.

These are general examples of language use at this level, not a description of any individual course syllabus.
About this course
The course develops Spanish for everyday situations, including travel, asking for information, booking accommodation, holidays, daily routines, clothing, weather and comparisons. Learners also practise expressing agreement, disagreement and apologies, and talking about past experiences and frequency. Teaching centres on spoken communication, with pair and group work, role plays and games supported by presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. Short texts about Spanish-speaking places provide cultural material, including Mallorca, the Camino de Santiago, Cuba, Ecuador and Peru.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for learners at Beginner (A1) level who have completed Spanish 1 modules 1 and 2 or have equivalent knowledge. Participation involves spoken interaction in pairs and groups, role plays and games. Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.
