Spanish for Beginners (Part 3)

About this course

The course develops basic Spanish for familiar social, service and workplace situations. Learners practise giving and understanding information about goods and services, discussing work, accepting or declining invitations, and using everyday questions, negatives and commands. Language work includes the present tense and introductory first- and second-person conditional forms, alongside consolidation of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Progress is reviewed through classwork and homework activities, with individual learning targets set at the start of the course.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners progressing beyond the earliest beginner stage. It is designed for those who have completed Beginners Part 2 or have approximately five to six months of beginner Spanish knowledge, with class learning consolidated through homework and other practice.

• Previous beginner-level Spanish study is expected
• Homework and consolidation outside class form part of the course
• Individual learning targets are set and reviewed during the course
• Additional support is available for literacy, numeracy and learning difficulties or disabilities
