What Pre-intermediate (A2+) Spanish means

At A2+ Spanish, learners can connect simple sentences, give reasons and manage a wider range of familiar situations.

  • Explain a preference

    Prefiero viajar en tren porque es más cómodo y puedo leer.

    I prefer travelling by train because it is more comfortable and I can read.

  • Handle a small problem

    La habitación está muy fría. ¿Podrían revisar la calefacción?

    The room is very cold. Could you check the heating?

  • Describe an experience

    El año pasado visité Sevilla y me encantó la arquitectura.

    Last year I visited Seville and loved the architecture.

About this course

The course develops language for discussing recent activities, sharing news and connecting past experiences with present circumstances. Learners practise exchanging information in everyday, cultural and workplace situations, including conversations about work and holiday plans. Language work includes the pretérito perfecto for recent or relevant experiences, the futuro simple for future intentions, comparisons between past, present and future, and the imperative for giving instructions. Activities also include discussing personal plans and responding in conversations.
