About this course
The course develops communication around food, eating habits, recipes, health, symptoms, sport and feelings. Learners practise explaining how dishes are prepared, describing pain, giving advice and expressing moods while working with relevant grammar, including object pronouns, passive constructions with se, ser and estar, soler, doler and the affirmative imperative. Teaching is conducted in Spanish, with group activities and role-plays supporting spoken communication. Lessons also include systematic work on listening comprehension, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for learners developing beyond foundational Spanish and is taught through spoken communication, group work and role-plays. Enrolment requires previous study at Spanish Level 9 or equivalent study of at least 108 class hours, including familiarity with three Spanish past tenses.
- Requires Spanish Level 9 or equivalent prior study
- Learners should be familiar with pretérito indefinido, pretérito perfecto and pretérito imperfecto
- Lessons involve regular group participation and role-plays
