About this course
This course develops Spanish for discussing personal experiences, including telling anecdotes, recounting past events, ordering actions and expressing emotions. Language work covers the indefinite preterite, its contrast with the imperfect, estar + gerund in the past, narrative time markers and vocabulary related to memories, historical events and feelings. Teaching combines spoken communication, group work and role-plays with structured grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation practice. The teacher uses Spanish throughout the lessons, giving learners regular listening and comprehension practice. The course also considers customs and traditions connected with sharing significant moments in Spanish-speaking communities.
