About this course
The course develops spoken and written Spanish through communication tasks, group activities and role-plays. Topics include expressing preferences, discussing hypothetical situations, giving or refusing permission, and responding to interest or surprise, alongside themes such as society, politics, wellbeing and change. Lessons also review subjunctive structures, indicative and subjunctive usage, word formation and pronunciation. The teacher uses Spanish throughout, giving learners regular listening and comprehension practice while grammar and vocabulary are studied systematically.

- Construct hypothetical situations and use language for giving, requesting or refusing permission.
- Apply subjunctive structures with expressions of importance, annoyance, surprise and curiosity.

This course is intended for learners at Intermediate (B1) level who have already studied Spanish to a fairly high level. Participation involves regular spoken communication, group work and role-plays, with Spanish used throughout the lessons.
- Requires previous study equivalent to Spanish Level 17 or at least 204 class hours.
- Includes frequent group activities and role-plays.
