About this course
The course develops listening, speaking, reading and writing through interactive activities and authentic Spanish materials. Study covers complex grammatical structures, including past, future and conditional tenses, the subjunctive mood and varied sentence patterns, alongside broader vocabulary, idioms and expressions. Learners work with complex audio such as conversations and news reports, as well as literary texts and written material for academic, professional and personal contexts. Cultural understanding is also included. Progress is reviewed through classwork and homework, with individual learning targets set at the beginning of the course.

This course is intended for very advanced Spanish learners, described as Advanced (C1+), who are developing mastery for academic, vocational or professional purposes. Previous study of Spanish Level 5 Mastery Part 3, or equivalent knowledge, is required. Learners should expect to consolidate class learning and complete set homework independently.

- Independent study and homework are expected between classes.
