About this course
This masterclass examines Cataluña’s wine regions through their history, landscapes, cultural heritage and winemaking traditions. It forms part of the Wine Scholar Guild’s Spanish Wine Scholar curriculum while providing an introduction to the region. A guided tasting uses selected wines to illustrate Cataluña’s diversity, including Cavas and wines associated with Priorat made from Garnacha and Carinyena. The session relates these examples to regional terroir and the traditions and innovation found in Cataluña’s wine production.
