About this course
The course surveys Spain’s wine regions and grape varieties, with guided tastings of wines from key areas including Rioja, the Duero Valley, Catalonia, Andalucía and the islands. Sessions also cover Spanish wine styles, service and storage, alongside informal approaches to regional food and wine matching. Teaching combines classroom study with tasting and access to online learning resources. The programme concludes with a multiple-choice examination assessing knowledge across Spanish wines and regions.

The course is intended for learners with an enthusiastic interest in Spanish wine, including those studying or having completed WSET Level 3. No previous experience of examined wine tasting is necessary to register, although the course includes regular tasting and a final examination.
