About this course

This masterclass examines the history, cultural heritage and distinctive growing conditions of Spain’s island wine regions, including the volcanic soils of Tenerife and Lanzarote and the coastal environments of the Balearic Islands. It combines guided discussion with a curated tasting of wines made from varieties including Prensal, Malvasía, Callet and Listán Negro, alongside lesser-known indigenous grapes. The session considers how island landscapes and local winemaking traditions influence the character of both white and red wines.
