About this course

The course introduces photographic lighting theory and shows how it is applied in a studio setting. Participants photograph fellow students as portrait subjects, observing and recording how different lighting arrangements affect the images. Exercises include analysing iconic photographs and recreating their lighting effects. Teaching combines explanation, demonstration and practical application, with studio techniques used throughout the course.
