About this course
Participants explore glass as a material, working with different glass types to create colour, texture and pattern. The course covers fundamental glass cutting, assembling pieces for fusing, using metal inclusions, and the effects of temperature on fusing and slumping results. Teaching combines demonstrations, discussion and guided practical tasks in a workshop setting. Progress is reviewed through observation and regular feedback, with a group presentation at the end in which learners outline their results and experience of fused glass.
