Summer Jazz Guitar Intensive

An improver-level jazz guitar course combining demonstrations, song study and guided practice in improvisation, accompaniment and fingerboard knowledge.
About this course
The course uses demonstrations, song study and practical playing to develop jazz guitar skills. Participants work on chords, scales, arpeggios, melodies, rhythm guitar and comping, applying these ideas while learning and playing a range of songs in class. Practice periods provide time to work on the material, with short question-and-answer and feedback sessions. Learning is assessed informally through practical exercises, alongside opportunities to identify individual goals and reflect on development.
