About this course
The workshop introduces Lindy Hop through a warm-up, teacher demonstrations and group practice of its basic rhythm. Participants then work in pairs as leads or follows, using six-count rhythms to move between closed and open positions and develop figures involving travel between them. Practice includes changing partners and combining figures with Lindy Charleston. The class also provides a brief introduction to the dance’s history and contemporary social swing scene, with opportunities to ask questions and discuss progress as a group.
