About this course
The course introduces the Yin/Yang concept and develops practice of the long Yang-style Tai Chi form, including its three sections, standing postures and form work up to cross hands. Sessions combine slow movement, focused attention and harmonised breathing with solo drills and paired exercises. Participants explore body alignment, sensitivity, receiving and neutralising energy, basic chi-king, visualisation, Yin Yang directions and push-hand patterns. Tutor observation and individual feedback are used to assess progress and refine technique.

The course is listed at Beginner level and includes an introductory route for people new to Tai Chi. It is open to all, although participants should have a reasonable level of fitness and be able to move without pain. Sessions include both individual drills and paired practice.
