Taming Fire: Metal Sculpture

About this course

The course introduces the use of a gas flame in metal sculpture, including welding, brazing, cutting, shaping and heat colouring. Participants also learn basic forging with a gas forge and explore how these processes can be applied to their own work. Teaching combines demonstrations, step-by-step guidance, observation, practice and feedback. Sessions take place in small groups, with time to develop individual metal projects while extending technical skills.
