Tap Dance – Improvers

About this course

The course develops tap technique beyond the basics, with new steps and more complex dance combinations. Classes address posture, balance and timing, then bring these elements together through choreography. Teaching takes place in a classroom dance setting, with practical instruction and personalised feedback to guide learners’ development. There are no formal assessments.

Is this course right for you?

This improver-level course is intended for learners who have completed a beginners’ tap class or gained comparable experience elsewhere. Regular attendance is helpful for keeping up with the choreography.

Before you go

• Tap shoes are required; learners can ask the tutor for advice when buying shoes.
• Wear comfortable clothes suitable for dancing.
• Bring a bottle of water.
