About this course

The course examines traditional portraiture techniques, with particular attention to the 19th-century Sight-Size method. Participants work from live models and study ways of handling glazes and other effects associated with portraiture. A different live model is used every six sessions, giving learners opportunities to apply observational approaches across changing subjects.
