About this course

The course introduces polychromatic printing, a direct screen-printing process in which designs are painted onto a silk screen using dyes. Participants will explore colour mixing, paper stencils, resists and layering before producing multi-coloured prints on fabric or paper. Teaching combines practical demonstrations, handouts and examples of polychromatic print work. Learners will have opportunities to experiment, develop ideas in sketchbooks and share them informally during group discussion, with feedback and suggestions available throughout.
