About this course
Learners explore short literary extracts, poetry and nonfiction through slow, attentive reading. Guided activities focus on concentration, interpretation and engagement with language, with responses developed through spoken, written, creative or group-based approaches. The course uses structured discussion and reflection rather than aiming to complete books or operate as a book club. Reading is considered as a pleasurable and reflective practice, with activities also supporting self-expression and readiness for further learning.
