About this course
This tasting examines Bordeaux through its principal grape varieties and regional styles, including dry white wines from Pessac-Léognan and Entre-deux-Mers, rosé or clairet, red wines from Bordeaux Supérieur, the Left Bank and Right Bank, and sweet wines from Sauternes and Barsac. The session compares general Bordeaux wines with Grand Cru Classé examples, using at least six wines alongside tasting notes and a digital presentation. The selection includes a premium Left-Bank Cru.
What you'll learn
- Identify key Bordeaux grape varieties, including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon.
- Compare Left-Bank and Right-Bank Bordeaux red wines.

- Recognise differences between Bordeaux’s dry white, rosé, red and sweet wine styles.
