Tour of France

A wine masterclass and tasting luncheon covering French regions, grape varieties, styles, serving and food-and-wine pairing for learners at all levels.
About this course
The course uses a guided masterclass and tasting to examine France’s classic wine regions, grape varieties and styles, alongside lesser-known examples. Tasting continues over a Champagne apéritif and four-course luncheon, where the discussion turns to serving fine wine and the fundamentals of food-and-wine pairing. The selection includes white, red and sweet wines from regions including Burgundy, Bordeaux, the Loire, Alsace and the Rhône. Some older wines are included to explore the additional complexity associated with age.
