Traditional Pearl Stringing

A beginner-to-intermediate course covering pearl stringing, knotting and finishing through demonstrations, instruction and individual guidance.
About this course
The course introduces pearls as gemstones and examines their use in jewellery, alongside demonstrations of different stringing methods. Participants learn to prepare silk, place even knots between pearls and complete a partially knotted bracelet. Further instruction covers clasp-free stringing for endless necklaces and fully knotted construction for larger beads, heavier stones and shorter sections. The course also addresses troubleshooting, restringing, repair, pearl care and relevant gemmological information. Teaching combines demonstration, step-by-step instruction, group guidance and individual advice, with time for questions.
