The session introduces the structure of modern copperplate through script models, professional examples and guided exercises. Participants explore pen pressure, variations of the English alphabet, and the formation and spacing of words. Teaching combines group and individual demonstrations with tutor-devised worksheets, allowing learners to work through activities at their own pace. The session also covers assembling and using a pointed pen and ink, providing a foundation for further calligraphy study.
