About this course
The course develops Turkish through spoken activities, including basic conversations about past experiences and polite restaurant exchanges. Learners also work with simple written texts and practise producing short written sentences. Teaching combines group work and role-plays with systematic study of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The teacher uses Turkish throughout, supporting listening and comprehension. Topics include past and future forms, questions, time and location expressions, restaurant language, Turkish customs, traditions, common expressions and pop culture.
What you'll learn
- Use the past simple and the “-mış/-miş” construction in basic Turkish communication.
- Ask and respond to WH-questions such as “Ne?”, “Ne zaman?”, “Nasıl?” and “Nerede?”.
- Use vocabulary and fixed phrases related to past experiences, food and restaurants.
- Understand simple Turkish texts and instructions.
- Write simple sentences in Turkish.
Is this course right for you?
This Elementary (A2) course is intended for learners who have already completed a beginners’ course and the preceding Level 3 or at least 36 class hours. Participation includes spoken group activities, role-plays and instruction delivered in Turkish.
