About this course

Learners explore a digital fashion workflow that moves garments from CLO3D into Unreal Engine. Through guided demonstrations and practical projects, they customise a MetaHuman character, adapt digital garments, and use CloLiveSync to connect fashion assets with a real-time 3D environment. The course covers animation, simulation and rendering, leading to work on a rendered fashion sequence and an interactive character wearing customised garments. It also considers applications of digital garments in visualisation, virtual production, gaming and interactive experiences.

What you'll learn

  • Customise a MetaHuman character for digital fashion presentation
  • Adapt garments in CLO3D for use in Unreal Engine
  • Transfer fashion assets between CLO3D and Unreal Engine using CloLiveSync
  • Apply Unreal Engine workflows for animation, simulation and rendering
  • Produce a rendered fashion sequence and an interactive character wearing customised garments

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners at an intermediate level who have previously used digital patterncutting software, such as CLO3D or Marvelous Designer. The teaching combines guided demonstrations with practical project work, making familiarity with digital fashion software relevant to the course’s real-time 3D focus.

  • Additional time for software familiarisation and tasks outside the taught work is encouraged.

Before you go

  • Learners are encouraged to spend additional time familiarising themselves with the software and completing extra tasks, with the source suggesting up to three hours per session.
