About this course

Participants develop soft furnishing techniques through tutor-guided workshop projects chosen to match their ability and interests. The course covers fitted covers, box cushion construction, piping, fitted seams and zip insertion, alongside more effective project planning. Learners work at their own pace while practising accurate measuring, calculating and cutting, making decisions about suitable fabrics and materials, and completing one or more projects. The course also includes evaluating finished work and identifying possible next steps for further independent work or learning.
