About this course
The course combines language practice with revision of vocabulary and grammar. Learners work on speaking, listening, reading and writing through individual tasks, role-play, pair and small-group activities, games, short presentations and written exercises. Listening work includes identifying the general meaning or key information, while grammar practice covers common present-tense verbs, prepositions and expressions using “avoir”. The course also introduces aspects of French culture, history and civilisation. Topics include giving directions, hobbies and family.

Is this course right for you?
The course is labelled Upper Intermediate (B2), although the provider recommends familiarity with the outcomes of French Stage 1 Term 1 or around 18 to 20 hours of equivalent study. It is also intended for learners who studied French some time ago and want to restart at approximately beginner level.

- Bring paper and pen, a bilingual French dictionary, a personal device, a notebook and a file.
