Urban Line Dance

About this course

Sessions begin with a simple rhythmic warm-up before introducing new short sequences and revisiting material from earlier classes. Learners practise repeating line-dance patterns under tutor guidance, working with music across soul, jazz and rhythm-and-blues styles. As the repertoire develops, sequences can be combined into longer patterns, with opportunities to perform them accurately in time and add individual styling.

Is this course right for you?

The class is open to learners of all levels and involves learning, revising and performing short sequences to music. Movement can be adapted to suit particular learning needs, and the sessions include a warm-up, active practice and breaks.
