About this course

The course develops writing for workplace purposes, covering formal emails, letters, job applications and short reports. Participants practise choosing an appropriate tone, structure, vocabulary and level of detail for different audiences and situations. Teaching includes guided writing, discussion of real-world texts such as articles, reports and instructions, and exercises in grammar, punctuation, proofreading and editing. The course also includes opportunities to present ideas, participate in discussions and respond to others.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners working at Functional Skills Level 2 who want to develop written communication for workplace contexts.
