About this course
The course develops communication for employment through workplace discussions, short presentations and interview practice. Activities include contributing ideas in team meetings, speaking with a manager and answering interview questions. Learners also practise understanding instructions and feedback, then responding appropriately in professional situations. Alongside speaking and listening, the course covers real-world texts such as articles, reports and instructions. Learners work on writing formal letters, persuasive emails and professional reports, with attention to punctuation, technical vocabulary and literary devices. The course is intended to support preparation for the Functional Skills Level 2 qualification.
