A weekly programme of London walks and visits exploring the city’s boroughs, history, architecture and communities for learners at all levels.
About this course
The course uses guided walks and visits to examine places of historical interest across London, with particular attention to selected Outer Boroughs. Topics include local museums, industrial areas and the communities and architecture that shape the capital.

The course is intended for anyone interested in London’s history, architecture and communities. No prior knowledge is required, and key facts are explained as needed. Participation involves walks, visits and informal discussions, with routes designed for all ages and fitness levels.

Before you go
- Layered clothing is strongly recommended, including a waterproof or windproof outer layer when needed.
- Wear supportive walking shoes or well-worn trainers.
- Bring a water bottle.
- Walks start and finish near a London Underground station or convenient bus stop; bus travel may be included depending on weather conditions.
- Follow-up handouts are provided when applicable.
