About this course

Participants use reference photographs and guided exercises to paint landscapes, foliage, sky, architecture and countryside textures. The course covers layered transparent hues, graphite structure, limited palettes, graded washes, dry-brush control, wax resists, warm and cool contrasts, and subtle shadows. Visual demonstrations, verbal explanations, illustrated handouts, individual tuition and group discussion support the practical work. The course concludes with a group viewing and constructive feedback on participants’ artwork.

Before you go

• Basic materials are provided.
• Participants need to bring 300-gram cold-pressed watercolour paper, preferably A3 size, along with watercolour brushes and paints.
