About this course
Participants work from a range of still-life objects in studio-based practical exercises. Tutor demonstrations and individual guidance introduce wash, masking-out, mark-making, brushwork, colour layering and mixing, with attention to interpreting form, pattern and spatial relationships. The course also examines how watercolour still-life artists approach the medium. Group discussion supports consideration of these methods and of compositional structure across different scales.
