About this course
Participants explore ways to combine watercolour with other media, applying experimental methods to different grounds and studying how surfaces interact with imagery. The course uses artists’ work as reference while learners develop ideas from photographs, found imagery and sketches. Teaching includes explanations, demonstrations, practical activities, one-to-one discussion and informal group discussion. Work focuses on visual elements such as shape and colour, as well as balancing experimental features within a composition.
