About this course
Participants develop an etching practice through hard- and soft-ground methods, aquatint, sugar lift and white ground. Work takes place in a fully equipped intaglio print room, with facilities for etching, collograph and monoprint. The course combines an introduction to core processes with opportunities to develop work across different levels of experience.

- Welcomes artists, creatives and image-makers
Before you go
- Wear an apron or old clothes.
- Bring ideas and source material, basic drawing materials, an eraser, and a nylon sable-type brush between sizes 2 and 6.
- Optional tools include a dry point or etching needle, burnisher, magnifying glass and scraper.
- A fully equipped intaglio print room is provided.
- Plates and paper can be bought in the print room.
- A further materials list is provided a week before the course begins.
