Weekend Resin

About this course

The course introduces the basic principles and health and safety considerations of working with resin. Demonstrations and verbal explanations cover mixing resin, combining it with fabric, paper and other mixed-media materials, adding jewellery findings, and using moulds to construct three-dimensional pieces. Participants develop jewellery designs and make resin items through project-based practical work. Teaching includes visual handouts, one-to-one guidance and group discussion, with questions, progress records and completed practical work used to assess learning.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for beginners experimenting with resin for the first time and intermediate learners returning to develop more elaborate jewellery pieces. Participation combines individual guidance, practical project work and group discussion.

Before you go

• Resin, moulds, mould-making materials and equipment are provided.
• Participants should bring a sketchbook containing ideas for designs they would like to create.
