About this course

The course introduces willow sculpture through demonstrations, questions and answers, and guided making sessions. Participants explore techniques for working with dry and soaked willow, then apply them to individual sculpture projects with support from the tutor. Teaching includes both group instruction and individual guidance. The course focuses on willow sculpture rather than traditional basket weaving, although some techniques overlap, and covers basic processes for developing sculptural forms.
