About this course
Using a standard size 12 block, participants explore how to develop pattern pieces for bodices, skirts and sleeves. The course introduces ways to interpret different styles and alter patterns to produce varied shapes. Teaching also covers the fundamentals of sizing, including how patterns can be adjusted to improve fit. The content is structured as an introduction to core womenswear pattern-cutting methods, with discussion of style and pattern modification alongside practical development of the main garment components.
