About this course
Participants construct a three-legged stool from timber, using the geometry of the design to create stable angled joints. The workshop introduces wood movement and its importance when planning furniture joinery, alongside reading 1:1 technical drawings. Teaching covers wedged through tenons, gluing and assembly, and the use of hand tools, power tools and professional woodworking machinery. Finishing techniques allow the completed stool to be personalised.

The course is intended for beginners and explicitly welcomes people with no previous woodworking experience. Instruction is provided throughout, with a maximum of eight participants allowing for individual attention. Learners who have some woodworking experience can also attend.
