About this course
This tasting examines the wine traditions of Alsace, Germany, the UK and Austria, with attention to grape varieties including Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Grüner Veltliner. It considers the contrast between dry, acidic, mineral-led wines and sweeter German styles, alongside the distinctive character of Alsace and emerging English wine. Participants taste a minimum of six locally sourced wines using professional tasting glasses, with tasting notes and a tasting sheet provided.

Before you go
- A minimum of six locally sourced wines is included.
- Professional tasting glasses, a tasting sheet and full tasting notes are provided.
- Cheese, charcuterie and crackers are served, including Munster with Gewurztraminer.
- Dietary requirements can be accommodated when notified at least 48 hours in advance.
